The Group started the “Pacific Millennium Cup” in 2011, a transportation packaging creative design contest.
The transportation packaging industry plays a very important role in the supply chain; this is where manufacturing ends and logistics begins. In order to stay ahead, the Group set up our R&D and Transportation Packaging Testing Laboratory certified by the International Safe Transit Association. This Lab not only provides testing reports, but also allows our Group to deliver total packaging solutions to customers. The “Pacific Millennium Cup” is a competition that lets contestants to first make a sample production of their design, and then test their products in transportation simulation using our laboratory facilities. Since all of the entries can create samples and test them freely, the Pacific Millennium Cup serves as an innovative cradle for new and creative packaging designs that will benefit and add value to our society.
Winners get to present their design ideas, including product analysis from different perspectives such as engineering, business, and financial. The competition also stresses the importance of low carbon design, as the packaging industry is currently in a major transition, where the economy is shifting from manufacturing to technology innovation. With raising raw material costs and declining export processing, new packaging designs and innovations are evermore important. Strictly observing China’s national packaging guidelines, the “Pacific Millennium Cup” is committed to help bring about new innovations, especially regarding green low carbon concepts, to the country’s entire supply chain.
